Covering SP futures 1159.50 at no loss. Will short ND futures on downside breakout from trading range. It looks like the stock market is in a B wave of an upward abc.
Let's see how far the QE bounce takes us. In essence it's nothing new. I'd bet that any bouce is worth shorting. And we'll no doubt get a similar reaction when QE2 is actually announced, a small bounce, then a drop (collapse would be on the cards). How ridiculous an argument...low interest rates become lower if the Fed succeed in raising the inflation rate. As if that is something to celebrate. Woo hoo USA, althoug the price of everything you need to buy has shot up, it's good news as it means 0.5% rates are now 'really' lower than before. Rejoice, the Fed will save the world. Idiots.
The news was not news. The market was anticipating it and sold off after it came out. The Fed is panicked that it's past efforts have not fooled people into acting against their best interests. Now it's trying to force them to destroy themselves. We should only borrow when we know that we want to invest in a venture that can make money, but none of the ventures that actually hire people are panning out.
