The stock market is staging a mini-rally which will correct the decline from yesterday. DJI at 10980 is a good place for me to reinstate the 5% short that I let go, bringing me up to 30% SDS. This is a big position for me and represents several thousand SDS, so I will look for declines to temporarily reduce my exposure.
Bond futures have cleared a hurdle at 119-16 in Feb/March. The US1 forward sentiment is positive well into June:
The stock market's I1 forward sentiment is declining into May 10-11, where it will experience a small uptick for 2 weeks then resume decline into June 8:

ReplyDeleteWill you be pulling all your shorts during the small up tick your calling for in mid May? What % do expect the markets to move up in that time period? Or is a wait a see kind of thing. I1 top was quite right on, good job. Thank you. Things keep adding up here and im going to have to come out west and buy you and your wife dinner. You went to school in my home town area( I live in Pinckney) so I can only guess you are a big Michigan fan and we just might have alot of other things in common other then the interest's in animal spirits.
Hi Jack,
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful country. Those mountains in About Me are the view from my porch. Come on out! I'll show you some western hospitality.
I expect the market to mark time from 5/11 through 5/19. Therefore, on 5/11 I will decrease my short to 10% until 5/19 when I will decrease to 0. I will put 20% short on 5/24 until the close 6/8.
Jack,
ReplyDeleteWere you able to short Monday at a good price?
Steve
ReplyDeleteYes
I am up 9.1% from the start of the correction and waiting for your signal to pull out. I am riding the waves up and down until the waves brake resistance on the upside. Otherwise I am staying short tza
I'm glad you are able to benefit from it. Most folks let their baggage get in their way.
ReplyDeleteKudos!
Steve
ReplyDeleteYou have the guts to call it like you see it and if your wrong not so proud as to not admit it. Don't get your neck out to far, but you have to stick it out there if you want to get any where. That is the life of a risk taker. The only way to get ahead, and so much fun when you are right. Thank you
